U-Cheonggye Stream Based on Infrastructure and services

Three main infrastructures and eight technologies will be utilized to realize u-Cheonggye Stream. The eight services can be divided into cultural and ecological sectors.
¡â Three infrastructures
¡Þ Broadband fixed/wireless network= An integrated fixed/wireless network ranging from personal area network (PAN), wireless local area network (WLAN) to e-Seoul MetroNet will be established.
¡Þ Integrated u-City platform= Through the Ubi Center, an operation platform developed by Samsung SDS, all service offers under the u-Cheonggye project will be run and managed in an integrated manner. In addition, more intelligent and convergent service is possible by linking and sharing information with other organizations, for example Korea Meteorological Administration.
¡Þ 3D-based GIS= The neighboring subway stations around the Cheonggye Stream can be visualized in three dimension and utilized in a virtual tour of Cheonggye history.
¡â Eight Services
- Cultural sector
¡Þ Interactive media board= Tourists can receive information related Cheonggye based on cutting-edge touch screen technology. In other words, visitors can enjoy experience through the media board in an information booth as if they saw in the movie "Minority Report.`
¡Þ Free bulletin service= A digital bulletin will be installed in the information booth in Cheonggye Square, where visitors can create their own user-generated contents.
¡Þ Information booth= This will serve as a venue for visitors to be exposed to a variety of information about Cheonggye Stream.
¡Þ GPS-based service= The GPS system enables to find the location of a visitor automatically and provide history service through WiFi devices.
¡Þ High-tech street light= Around the Stream, street lights will be equipped with next-generation LED and wireless network, which will serve as important urban infrastructure.
- Ecological Sector
¡Þ Monitoring water quality= The Ubiquitous Sensor Network (USN) enables the monitoring of water quality real time, which can minimize any damage by torrential rain and water pollution.
¡Þ CCTV for landscape broadcasting= The 24/7 broadcasting of the landscape around the Stream can be provided to anyone in Seoul. This is a practical service with an effect of cost cutting by replacing fixed CCTVs with wireless CCTVs.
¡Þ Real-time video service= Fish and ecosystem in water will be aired to the public real time over the Internet.
